The MTV Movie & TV Awards have been on indefinite hiatus. The 2023 ceremony — held May 7, 2023 at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica with Drew Barrymore hosting — is the most recent edition. The 2024 and 2025 ceremonies were not produced, and as of mid-2026 no 2026 ceremony has been announced.
MTV has confirmed the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs, music) and the 2026 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards are proceeding on schedule, but the Movie & TV Awards property has been quiet since the 2023 producers’ strike season.
